On October 1, the National Center for Innovation (NIC) in collaboration with USAID organized the Program to announce the "Human Resources for Innovation - Startup Ecosystem" (USAID-WISE) activity. ).
The program aims to contribute to the implementation of the Government's National Strategy on the Fourth Industrial Revolution to 2030. The event is expected to be attended by leaders of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, NIC, USAID and relevant domestic and foreign partners.
Through technical assistance, WISE will cooperate with training institutions, human resource development partners, financial institutions and relevant government agencies to enhance innovation capacity. creativity and digital skills for Vietnam. Specific groups of activities: (1) Basic digital skills training for new entrants in the labor market; (2) Building a market for advanced training and retraining in digital skills; (3) Promoting innovation in innovative financial products for education; (4) Capacity building for innovation support organizations; (5) Building and effectively operating the Human Resource Development Partner Program 4.0.
Training is one of the eight main types of functional services in NIC operations. 7 other types of functional services that NIC is and will perform are Startup Incubation and Acceleration; Event organization; Invest; Support technology transfer; Counseling and consulting; Space and Integrated Services.
NIC was established by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1269/QD-TTg, dated October 2, 2019, under the Ministry of Planning and Investment. This is the first model established by the Prime Minister and is different from the central model popular in countries around the world, which is mainly set up by businesses and corporations and usually only serves research and development purposes. of the enterprise.
In March 2021, NIC successfully organized the “Technology Women's Creation Day, gathering nearly 100 women in the information technology industry and more than 5,000 hits on the social network Facebook. In April 2021, NIC trained machine learning and artificial intelligence for information technology students from University of Technology, University of Technology - Hanoi National University, Postal and Postal Technology Institute. Telecommunications, FPT University, Institute of Cryptography… In May 2021, NIC cooperated with Do Ventures to publish the Report "Vietnam Innovation and Technology Investment 2020" . Along with that are many events sponsored or co-organized by NIC such as "Vietnam Youth Initiative Program - InnoCity", connecting young Vietnamese intellectuals globally; “Exporting handicrafts with Amazon”… aims to create a great connection, promote the spirit of learning, creativity and rise of individuals and businesses.
