National Innovation Center (NIC), Ministry of Planning and Investment cooperated with Visa to organize the Workshop "Innovation in the public sector: Building a cashless digital government in Vietnam". The workshop contributes to realizing the goal of the e-Government development strategy towards a digital government in the period of 2021 - 2025, with a vision to 2030 to gradually realize the determination to build a tectonic and development government. To develop, progress towards effective implementation of administrative reform programs, closely associated with building e-Government and providing online public services at a high level and in many fields. The workshop was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the State Bank of Vietnam, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, central and local agencies, research institutes, universities and businesses, for cooperation in the national innovation ecosystem.
The program will focus on the following topics:
📍Innovation opportunities and challenges in the public sector in Vietnam.
📍Visa's global experience: Digital transformation in payment activities of state agencies.
📍Objectives and solutions to promote cashless payments in the public sector.
📍Plans and policies to support the transition to non-cash payment in payment activities of state agencies.
📍Opportunities to promote electronic payments in the public sector.
